Common Xbox Live problems and fixes
You can't connect to Xbox Live servers
If Xbox Live is up for everyone, restart your console or PC and your router. Check that your internet works in another app.
Matchmaking or login fails
These often break first during an outage or right after an update. Check for a game update, then wait a few minutes and retry.
You keep getting kicked or lagging
Lag for everyone means Xbox Live servers are struggling. Lag only for you usually means your Wi-Fi. Try a wired connection.
Store or purchases aren't working
Don't buy twice. Purchases made during an outage usually show up once Xbox Live is back.
